First of all Clerk came into the waiting room and checked our degree certificates, NOC, Medical Certificate (For Dy.S.P.) and gave us a preference sheet. Total 9 candidates were called for the interview in the morning session. First interview was started at 11:30AM. I had a fifth position for interview. They asked me near about 30 questions.
Now 13:07PM…

Peon opened the door and I asked: “May I come in, Sir?”
Good Afternoon, Sir. (To Chairman) and Good Afternoon, everybody (To other board members)

Chairman:
- “What is your Full Name?”
- Your Qualifications…
- Your preferences…
- Have you ever think about your future plan related to your incoming posts? (I said: “Sure, sir” but he didn’t ask me about my thoughts.)
- Your subjects…
- “Give me a name of the oldest mountain range in India.”
- “Give me the names of old mountains in India.” (I replied: “Girnar, Himalayas….” He stopped me at Himalayas and asked: “What is the difference between Girnar & Himalayas?” He said: “Good.”)
- “Give me few names of Terrorist Groups.”
- “Give me few names of Secret Agencies… India (IB,RAW), China(MSS), Israel(Mosad), Pakistan(ISI), Japan(Don’t know), France(Don’t know).

Member 1:
- “What is ‘Perestroika’?” (I replied: “This word is related to my mains syllabus of P.S. but at present I forget its meaning)
- He asked me about two English words but I can’t understand so I replied: “I don’t know about those.” (Because I don’t want to bluff.)
- Give me five news of last 10 days that you read from any newspaper & you have noticed something in it. (I told them about…Mayavati’s news on a garland of money, Reservation bill for women, Capitation Fees news, Hedli’s trick. He didn’t ask me further questions on this news.)

Member 2:
- “Tell me …, You drive your bike on the road. How can you say that this road is National Highway or State Highway?” (When Chairman asked me about my qualifications, I told him that “I have completed an All India Tour on BYKE. That’s why he asked me this question.) (I replied about Road Signs and also about milestones colours)
- “What is the difference between N.H & S.H?”
- “How many S.H. are there in Gujarat?” (I replied: “I have no idea.”)
- Give me the names of N.H. passes through Gujarat and also give their starting and ending points.” (I replied: “Sir, the numbers of all the N.H. in Gujarat that I know but I have no more information about their destinations.” He said: “Okey, tell me whatever you know.”)
- “Do you know…? S.I.R.& S.E.Z”
- Define Special Economic Zone.
- Give me the names 0f the countries which touch the Pacific Ocean.
- Give me the names 0f the countries situated on Torrid Zone.
- He asked me the names of rivers related to…. J&K, Pathankot, Hyderabad, Allahabad, Lucknow, Nasik, Ujjain, Jabalpur, kolkatta, Gauhati, Faizabad, Jetpur, Mathura, ____, ____.
- Asked me about two English words… ‘Verification & S_____’ (I replied and explain ‘Verification’ and told him that I don’t know about ‘S____’)

Member 3:
- Tell me about your one creative work and why do you think that this work is creative? (I told him about my work on Internet.)
- Give me a name of one website which gives online guidance for competitive exams. (I replied: “I don’t know the name because I searched all the sites by Google search engine.”)
- Give me the names of other search engines.
- Master Question of my Interview: “People of Gujarat have many problems and complain in courts & Courts are taking too much time to solve it. So, Give me your ideas to make this procedure speedy.” (I put these points… FIR, Fast track Court, Sandhya Adalat, New Recruitments, Transfers of Judges, Mobile Court.) (They all had participated in this question and asked me counter questions but they are satisfied with my last opinion.)

Chairman said to me: “your interview is over.”
I said: “Thank you, sir. Vary kind of you.”

My view about Interview:
- My interview was fantastic and board members were satisfied by my answers. I couldn’t reply correct answers of 4 questions. I replied, “I don’t know about that.” but didn’t give wrong answers to them.
- I have also attended 5 days S.S.B. (Service Selection Board- Navel Officer) interview, Bank Clerk and P.O. Interviews, Interviews of School Teacher, Rank & Bolt Award (Best Student Award) Interview and also GPSC Interview for Class I/II.
- GPSC Interview was very easy and Members did not ask any corner questions, questions related to your hobby, NCC, Extra curricular activities, Mining of your name, your strength, your weakness, about your native, about your graduation subjects, also didn’t check our mental or physical fitness (Specially for Dy.S.P. preferred candidate’s), also didn’t ask about History of today’s date, Your date of birth related with any other events. The board members didn’t want to know that: Why do you want to select Dy.S.P. or mamlatdar or D.R.?, What are the points of a good leader?, How can you manage your family life with this 24x7 services?
- One thing I don’t understand: I have more than 120 certificates of extra curricular activities. National Level, State Level & District Level Certificates. What is the importance of these certificates in GPSC Interview? Nothing…!!!?
- There is no doubt in whole recruitment process. Whole procedure is totally transparent.

(After Final Result: I taking my words back.)
- It’s not a quiz competition. It’s an Interview. And this interview is not for the post of Peon or Clerk but for the post of (Class I/II) officer.
- Over all I have not satisfied with interview panel. I don’t know about the view of other candidates related to this matter.
- Last…, I just pray to GOD, “My selection is not important but the important thing is disserving, Suitable, intelligent, smart, active and honest candidates should be selected.”
